Most crashed car...

My first ever car was a 1981 Ford Escort. I found it was a true 'cut&shut' car. It was white at the front and brown at the back!!! :0
Got rid of it as soon as I found out!! ;)

The Prius doesn't surprise me...most tree huggers can't drive.

Seems you are correct...

Also - so many Prius private hires in London - generally don’t have a clue where the’re going and driven by inexperienced poorly paid unfortunates !

The relevant figure would have been the number of crashes compared to the number of cars on the road of said model and the overall mileage covered by them.

As an example, I would hazard a guess that the FSO Polonez ranks very low on the UK list, but that does not make it a safe car :)

The survey did a basic correction by listing crashes per 10000 vehicles. Not perfect but is a good pointer.

I mostly crashed Ford Escorts plus a Sirocco as a passenger.

I have never been in a crash while wearing a seat belt.

Thing is, I just googled 'uk most crashed car' and the lists for different years are COMPLETELY different....

...not found any/many Mercs on any lists though!

Completely understand the Prius: high mileages being done by drivers travelling over unfamiliar routes.

Can't understand why Britain's top selling cars aren't on there: Fiesta, Focus, Qashqai, Golf and Polo.

The Daily Fail

BMW ought to consider rebranding to ”Ultimate Crashing Machine ”. i personally would take a luxury BMW crash over an eco prius crash any day...

Yes BMW still are not fitted with indicators and I would of thought Audi's would have been on the list as I think they now don't have indicators fitted and seem to have taken over from BMW :)

If you count all BMW 3 series as one type, it heads the list with well over twice as many as the Prius.
