My C43 AMG on going project

Justin, you've done a lot of work! Congrats and shame we didn't meet at TRAX or BW.

Nice job done on those sills, did you have to do both sides?
I paid just under £150 for a new front wing, late last year from MB.

I witnessed the results of Justin's efforts at a recent Bluewater meet, it is an absolute stunner. Well done mate I will remember to park in a similar position next time we meet so that condition of your car doesn't embarrass mine :-)

Justine, a man after my own heart, if your going to a job etc etc. Great job.

When i sold my C43 to Olly everyone said it was the best one around It looks like your C43 is going to be up there to.

Hope to see you at Olly's GTG.

What an excellent thread. Thank you for sharing the story so far! I look forward to further updates :thumb:

Thanks, yes was i shame that i did not meet many people at Trax. Everytime i went back to my car there was no body about. Wanted to do the 0-60 aswell and missed that :wallbash:

Hi Andy, yes i completely did both sides and the rear wheel arches. I only paid £30 for the mint bootlid :D

Cheers Darren :thumb:

Keep up the good work.

The ultimate retrofit is now due.........

Yes defo Olly, always looking for a good mileage 55 lump :)
Got a full interior strip to do next, new headlining, rear blind, folding mirrors etc etc :thumb:

Next after looking for ages i found a set of staggered 18" Monoblock alloys. Fitted them on to see what they looked like.

Was not 100% happy with the way the car sat. So bought a set of H&R Springs from a MB Club member.

Now looked nice but rubbed on full lock :(

So removed all the springs again and refitted with thicker spring spacers from MB, thus lifting the car back up by approx 10mm

Car is back on the original 17's now while the 18's get refurbished at Lepsons :bannana:

Next was a rusty Fuel pump carrier i found while replacing the Fuel Filter :(

This is it finished then coated in wax so it does not rust again :)

Next was the rear bumper replacement. Got another from Mo on here, got it stripped back to nothing and professionally painted back to as new in Azurite Blue :)

Stripped the car down 4 hours before the Bluewater GTG a couple of weeks ago

Cleaned the rear panel and polished/waxed everywhere before the new bumper goes on

Then built the new bumper up ready to be fitted

Then built the car back up, finished it an hour before the GTG :D

You need W210 mirrors, its the way forward :D

I did that mod on my old W202, but descided not to do it this time. It was 50/50 when i had the new wing painted as i could of had the holes blanked off at that point.

So you have the rear bumper, I have the sideskirts also from Mo, who got the front then? :)
