I will ever see back my car?:((((((

That isnt good to hear.

Where was it stolen from and how was it stolen? Did they take the keys?

Yes, what area in the UK?

Touch wood it has never happened here but I feel your pain, not just the loss but the huge inconvenience of it all.

Sorry

Yes:((they break in to my house, they took the key and...We just arrived Sunday afternoon from holiday, we were really tired, sleeping upstairs....some of my stuff were in the car still...Can not believe that they get in and we was upstairs...

From what area?

We live in Southgate, London.
2 years ago another 2 cars disappear from our street... Do not know the make of it.. Ohhh:(

Really sorry to hear that. Stealling the keys is the preffered route for theives when it comes to cars so I keep our spares upstairs now :(

Sorry to hear this. I bet you're gutted.

On a brighter note, it's not the sort of car that'll be rallied around then ditched and torched... So if you do manage to get the car back, chances are it's been looked after... As they'd be looking to export it or sell it.

I don't exactly leave my keys on plain show but they aren't very hard to find; if someone's that keen to get into my house to try and rob my car using the keys, I'd rather they just take the car instead of searching the house and putting my family in danger.

It's only a lump of metal and it can be replaced, my family can't.

Sorry to hear this :(.

Whilst only another deterrent, every room/external door of our downstairs is alarmed and connected to an internal sound bomb high up in the hallway, as well as the external bell boxes.

It serves two purposes:

  • You're woken up and know someone is in the property
  • It's disconcerting for the opportunist as it's so loud
Only a deterrent, and won't stop a pro, but unfortunately you have to do what you can.

I hope you get things sorted soon.

We have the same arrangement, makes you feel very alive when a spider crawls across the sensor at 3am doesn't it?

Sorry to hear this, elena-felicia.

If we see it, we will report it to the police... though they may have changed the license plates.

If the car is not found, then hopefully you will get the insurance sorted quickly and buy another Merc. Welcome to our forum.

Or , dare I say it , stripped and broken for expensive parts ; either that or 'ringed' against the identity of another written off vehicle .

I do hope the OP gets it back ; otherwise I'm sure it will be insured .

Do you really want a car returning that's been used by scrotes?

Let's be honest if they are going to that level to search your house for keys then I think no one would be safe in the house anyway regardless of where they are!!!

I always keep the keys upstairs and when I go on holiday they come with me!!

We have something very similar, including ADT linked burglar alarm.
Plus the house is fitted with outdoor CCTV system (all round + garage), which records both internally and off-site.

Touch wood never had a problem, and I would make sure any intruder gets a 'warm' welcome  !!

Most car thieves/burglars don't want an 'aggravated theft' charge against them, that puts them into 5 years territory.

Most just want the keys/treasures and get out of there.

I have ADT also. Not cheap the monitoring. However, they don't bother monitoring anyway. Our alarm panel is disconnected from power without informing them. No phone call, nothing. They only thing they regularly call for is the direct debit payment.
