update - drove car up to mr walker on Monday and left it with him whilst I drove home in his 300e-24 which I rather enjoyed.
Having spoken with him injector on no.4 cylinder had failed so that has been replaced. Mr Walker has examined the loom and despite it still being very flexible the sheathing inside the loom tape is shot so a new loom is being ordered.
