My G Wagon - G560 V8!

So this is a car that was converted a while back using the running gear from a W126 560 SEL.
It was discussed on here a while back.
I wanted to buy it then but the price was too high and the seller stopped communicating!?

Popped up recently again and so decided to go and have a look... what an addictive noise that engine makes, had to be done.

The car has had a lot of money lavished upon it.. Of course the power train change but also a full interior, sound system, recaro seats etc etc.

It had the odd scab here and there so I decided upon a full respray and here are the results.

the exhaust has a bit of a blow but that will be sorted.

I have actually been after a LWB with a modernish CDI engine for years but they go for 30k plus...so maybe if one turns up....

I tried to fit the latest W463 grille but didnt fit... and it was cheap plastic so i sent it back...

I will fit W463 bumpers at some point... and i need to find some side steps..

I like the LWB modern ones but the SWB ones look a bit odd to me. Stubby like.

I can see the attraction although it's not something I'd buy.

They always look good, my dad had a SWB 230GE back when they were new it was a C reg... probably worth similar now.

That must be good fun, what sort of BHP is that and its it still FWD with the locking diffs etc?
