My 7, year old W210 320CDI Estate went in to MB Macclesfield for its MOT on Monday.

I feared the worst...

I bought the car from a non-MB dealer in Chester a year ago and they MOT'd the car before I drove it away. Was this maybe their MOT of convenience?

NO!

After 40, minutes of thorough testing -this made me nervous - the car passed with flying colours.

Not even an advisory notice which would of course potentially line the pockets of MB Macclesfield. I did expect to be told that some works were required, but no, all is well with the car.

MB Macclesfield, upon request even checked the EGR valve operation and adjusted the cars throttle cable - Free of charge!

So £54.00 including Vat for the MOT and a couple of freebies too.

Good value I think. :)

Sound like a good dealer!! Well done! :)

You're up early... :p

No, late I'm afraid... it is the only time I can get my office work completed in peace..:o

Good result.

My 12 year old SL is MOT'd free of charge by the local main dealer and touch wood has never had so much as an advisory either.

I took my 2004 320 CDi in to my local MB dealers yesterday for it's MOT and it failed on corroded brake pipes! Even my old W210 had all it's original brake pipes when it was sold at 8+ years.

Bill,
Why free of charge?
