My new £2359.50 mercedes mcclaren tool box

Have you tried a bit of T-Cut? ;)

no....maybe it'll polish out?????????? i know i shud laugh but it aint your £2359.50 sittin worth bout £20 of scrap:(:(:( a wel life must go on

I hope you get some compensation for this - just glad no-one got hurt. There needs to be a proper investigation as to how this happened though as the safety nazis would have a field day over it. Look at it this way, you destroyed a few thousand quids worth of toolboxes, and that's a bad thing, but nobody got hurt.

Good luck with the side cab. They are rockin' horse poo

Hi dervdoc your taking it well, thanks for sharing story. Even though I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a tool box I feel you pain.

Hope you get a good result from the bus company, let us know, I for one will boycott the bus company in favor of my Merccedes CLK untill they pay up!!!!

Tool boxes are like a member of the family. I am very protective over mine and if damaged or tools go missing I get very peed off.

It was always the unwritten rule in the Glasgow shipyards that , while you might just be forgiven for fooling around with another man's wife , you never lay a finger on his tools !

Hope it all works out ok for you. No pipe band now, used to.

CAMBRIDGE(shire)GTG this Saturday (21st)

I left school and joined the trade as a Land/Range Rover mechanic... I bought a Snap on cab back then and I still have it today (24 years later)... After all this time I "really" look after it still...

I bought it as a box to use but also as an investment, would have done me a life time and maybe sold it down the line in 30 years as a collectable?!?!?!?![/QUOTE]

Don't you get some kind of insurance with Snap-On? I thought that was part of their "package" to mechanics?

Is a £2395 tool box not insured?

I'm guessing it's far to good a tool kit for working on a bus, just buy a series of big hammers.

Hope you get it sorted.

*also can you not purchase a new case, the tools inside will be ok?

Ha. There speaks a man who's never actually looked at Snap On/similar tools - I like your optimism :)

The tool box was £2395.

The tools inside are probably worth 5 or 6 times that.

exactly! the damage of the other fellas box is £1400, he was the one caused the damage, they think if the boxs were not there she would have went on down in the sunken workshop

In which case they would be paying out a hell of a lot more for damage to the bus, might be worth pointing out how much you just saved them ?

shocking story.
