My r170 slk - makeover - service - restoration -

so our SLK200 R170 has been treated to a complete overhall.

Problems that existed

1. rusting on all arches, scratches dents, dings
2. dislodged and misaligned headlamps
3. interior showing 15 years of wear
4. passenger side waterlogged under carpets due to blocked drains near windscreen
5. dead radio
6. ratting heating cooling
7. general rattles
8. battered front bumper valance and broken fog lights
9. faded old paintwork and again had seen better days
10. wheels had 15 yrs of corrosion
11. door cards coming apart

RESOLUTION:

1. get all above sorted
2. update styling to original MK1 AMG Styling (Factory spec)

I didn't even know you had an SLK TB.

This car has been emotional for me.. since debating on if i should scrap it, or restore it, use it or store it, sell it or keep it..

Anyway the decision has been made and im happy.

bought it from new.. its been a good workhorse upto a couple of years ago

Now it should give many years of joy!
