OK, you people on your Island have a habit of spending hours cleaning and shining your cars. That is nice indeed as a clan and shiny car is always a pleasure to see. Now in this country of mountains, banks and chocolate, we don't have the same habit in cleaning and shining our cars (apart from a couple of "nuts"). Most products found here are the regular car shampoos, polishes, tar removers, etc. Nothing in the way of clays, waxes, preservers and what not. Even I have around the garage the usual stuff like Turtle wax, etc. My 98' w202 c240T Esprit has matte black painted roof bars and window trimmings. If I use TW or other polishes, I get white streaks on the matte paint and it is a b***r to remove. How can I avoid this while getting a nice result?
