Need something deciphering please

That's the Twitter legacy...

I never thought of it that way but it makes total sense.

Still can't figure out ending so many sentences with a question mark, I'm aware of the Aussie upward inflection but can't figure out why middle aged British blokes might want to show this in everyday writing.

It's a "dipthong", and I assure you that we don't write that way.

It's not unique to Australia, but you don't notice it when it's in Chinese (as an example).

I foresee a life on benefits for someone.

Sorry, grober, I think SPX needed it translated into Yaaksha (bloody God's country) so I fixed it for you.

I don't think we should be expecting grammatical perfection on an internet forum but the line has to be drawn somewhere. Any form of text speak is a big turn off for me. I'd much prefer genuine dialect which at least makes me smile because I know people who are not wearing droopy trousers will actually speak like that.

Delete and ignore :D

The usual thing of you're, your, there, their, they're etc is also getting much worse. Makes me despair slightly.

I'm the same.

I know I'm no grammatical expert but I do my best to at least make sure what I've written can be read!

The predictive text monkey strikes again.

"Think this is fiat engine, I've been told by main dealer to go for the isuzu 1.7 as the 1.3 and 1.9 are discontinued by GM worldwide for a reason and the 1.7 isuzu is still in production. Now somone knows something here and not me? I was told by a mate that the 1.9 is a howl and great engine until after extended driving too powerful for the M32 gearbox, and destroys the dual mass flywheel Now I wondering 5 speed gearbox combo with solid flywheel ,remove swirl flaps, delete dpf and egr?lower by 40 mm,camber front wheels toe in back toe out 2mm.remap.garrett g35 turbo with straight exhaust pipe..would this work?"

It also seems to imply that this Buffoon is thinking of fitting 'performance' modifications to a 1.9 diesel window cleaners van.

How odd.

It's not unique to Australia, but you don't notice it when it's in Chinese (as an example).

It's not a diphthong; that's running two vowels together to make basically a single sound - like faeces, coin, or loud.

You certainly do notice it in Chinese, or any other tonal language; it's essential to understanding. MAO BI, for example, in Mandarin, pronounced second tone then third tone, is a writing brush, but pronounced third tone then first tone, is the part of a lady where she would get a Brazilian done...

Clout?

Sadly the retranslation looks like perfect English to me:rolleyes:
