Hi all i just bought a 54 plate clk 270 cdi and must say i do love it. Its my first mercedes i have always fancied a clk.
goes well for the power it has. i have had previous fast petrol cars so i want supercar performance with 50 mpg this is not that when it comes to speed but its fast enough
I do love the looks of the clk its very elegent with a bit of sporty and the inside is such a nice place to be which makes you feel good. I do have my driver headrest stuck up in the air which is annoying done the tricks still not working and can not work out how to bring them back down i unscrewed the back seat but could not get the motor out or get the white platic piece to lower. Big pain otherwise all working good.
Power wise i like the synergy box idea as i had one on a x type d i use to own and was reliable and done the trick.

Welcome. You'll love your CLK, I'm on my third and am dreading the day when the only ones left out there are old and decrepit. The newer coupes are all so boxy and boring in comparison. My first CLK was a 270CDi and it's a brilliant engine. I used to get over 53mpg on a long motorway run and yet still plenty of oomph when you need it. Bad news on the head restraint though, I think it's a new seat module thingy required, expensive. Hope I'm wrong.

Welcome to you I have no idea how to help you but I will have a look around the internet and see if I can find any help for you, I think some one on here will know how to sort it, I have a problem taking my rear headrest out on my c180 w202 and it's still beating me.

my daughter and son in law bought me a lovely W123 280e SE ex wedding car in mint unmolested order, I am yet to drive it but being a stickler for servicing it will be getting a full service before being used occassionally. My other car is a 1994 Jaguar xj40 4.0s equally in mint condition...........well until some t**t ran into the rear damaging the bumper then 4 days ago some equal pillock reversed into the drivers front wing.........so this is to put right.

Looking forward to some tips advice if and when I need it and thank you all in advance for any tips and advice I do receive

Yeh i love the mercedes thing if you know what i mean
You feel like your in a quality piece of kit. All the touches like auto fold mirrors when you get in and out and seat belt coming out makes it feel special. So much more classy then the bmws.

And others but i dont want to be all day.
for me the power is getting boring fast as its very underpowered bhp wise for a 2.7 anyone had a remap or tuning box and how much quicker does it feel. Synergy which i like say they can get 215bhp and that must make a difference. I had a 530d with 218 engine and that went very well as standard. So will this feel the same at 210 215?

Another x s2k owner great car. The Supra was very fast after a slight tweak. S2000 was the most reliable car
I ever owned i always say that. Was a cat d too only cat d i ever owned. Like a mini f1 car the way it revs . Can be dangerous even in the dry i had a 03 so no traction control.

Yes the clk is very pretty shame they didnt make a nice 2.0 turbo petrol to go with it for economy and performance in petrol form. Diesel can become annoying sometimes with its low revs.

Also if i knew 100% i was keeping it for a long time i would jazz it up a little with the amg look. Definetly a lip spoiler for the back boot. The car has some dings will be getting them out Thursday . Exiting stuff lol
