Hi all

I don't need them yet but want to plan for the replacement of my front discs (SL63 R231). I've searched eBay & found a huge difference in pricing between, "Genuine MB" & "Brembo" Anyone have experience in sourcing, pricing & know if MB are Brembo (Rebranded) or Brembo are aftermarket alternatives?

Cheers

Tyrone

Have you got a price from MB themselves, just as 'benchmark'? Quite often MB can be quite competitive on these sorts of consumables..

Very often Brembo are genuine MB because Brembo are one of their suppliers . There are many threads on this subject and there is no reason that this one will be any shorter than they were.

All of it leaving the OP even more confused. As said try MB first for price before shopping around , you might be pleasantly surprised.

Given you are using PCS already, I would ask them what is best (but hopefully they will last a while)!

MB newcastle and MB Edinburgh on ebay message them for good prices.

Obviously MB don't make their own brakes. Brembo do and they are high quality. Great racing heritage.

Obviously they don't but not so obvious is that MB can often be cheaper than 3rd party offerings and you can be sure the discs are 100% correct quality...

I know your looking for front discs, but I recently bought a set of rear Brembo from Autodoc for my S63 at a very good price. Worth checking them out

MB Grangemouth give a forum discount and deliver for £5 ish

I doubt any Mercedes dealership will beat the prices of this guy for genuine Brembo 2 piece discs.

I wasn't just thinking about price. IMO Brembo would give superior performance.

How if they are OEM to MB?
Unless one 'upgrades' that is chooses a disc that isn't OE. Unless one is using the car on track one can't really do better than the OE for everyday driving
