New E-class looks like Lexus?

Some say the front headlights and c-pillar treatment is heavily influenced by the latest Lexus models, which is rather ironic since Lexus was famous for 'borrowing' design cues from Mercedes in the past.

That's quite big type isn't it?

Robert would prefer the braille version......:D

Ironically, it is easier to read on my PC as the monitor is some distance away (on the wall, and it's a TV!) but that's not the point ;)

So if Lexus "borrows" some of the design from an MB model "A", then MB model "B" changes to a new generation, MB model "C" that borrows design from MB model A, it can be proven that MB has stolen the design from this previously mentioned Lexus.

Looks like a C class and lexus has been put in a pot and expanded to create a E class lexus.

Lets face it lots of new cars start to blend into the looks of another, the passat CLS thingy at the Geneva show was a complete rip off of Merc.

Like the Audi style LED lights.

Sure in the flesh with correct spec and wheel it will look nice...

Rear does look like this :)

I can see the similarity, same number of wheels, same number of doors, same number of windows. Both have an engine in the front and a boot at the back. Apart from that they look different to me, shall have to go and get my eyes tested.

I think we all might need our eyes tested :D

What car nowadays is ever truly and totally new new in its design? How many ways can there be to stick a metal box on 4 wheels and make it look different to everything else - yet still retain its corporate identity?
Of course most new cars borrow cues from other cars. Its impossible to avoid. About the only car still unique and individual is Morgan.

Drove my new C class on the M42 this morning and was startled how much it DIDN'T look like the 5 series beamer overtaking me! :D
