Hello to all

My name is DJ and I just purchased a 2006 E350, love it so far had a tad bit of work done to it already......

I have had my baptizing at the dealer and what a baptizing it was. Just got the car and had to change cam cover gaskets, had to get new brakes, and now it seems like I have this radio issue. It use to come on, now all I get is the MB logo and then a blank screen to follow.. It suks to get in your car and have no radio and no navigation, thank god I haven't had to go anywhere that I havent been. lol

Needless to say, I am still pleased with my car and look forward for future enjoyment and good tips and professional help from whoever can share and steer me in the right direction.

Have the same thing with my Command at mo (but, maybe tellingly, only after local indie told me to remove fuse as a temporary fix for a small 1amp battery drain which is niggling me). Still shows the logo, like yours and no radio, nav etc. Gets a quick burst of static shortly after start up. Does yours? Maybe you just have a blown fuse / loose connection? Hope that's all it is bud. The fuse is in front of the spare wheel in mine (also E class). Orange 5amp, think the holder is blue. May be worth a look.

What made you change the cam cover gaskets? I only ask because I think I may have the same problem. Did you have a burning oil smell on start up and small oil leak on the drive?

How much was it to change the gasket?

Cam cover gaskets are common issue, so is the breather cover on the cam, easy DIY is you have the time.

not sure about hte command issue, try the fuse idea, comandonline guys will be able to advise better on that subject.
