Hi all
Last Friday picked up a 2010 E350 CDI Avantgarde (W212) in Cuprite Brown with brown leather interior as a replacement for my Porsche Boxster. Despite being 6 years old and having nearly 79k on the clock it's in superb condition and looks like a new car which I'm very pleased about. I'd also looked at an S Class but I thought the E Class better value and still a lot of car for the money (< £12k)
I've had a couple of Mercedes before, an SLK many years ago, and a 500SEL many, many years ago, but I've found over the last few years I've been looking at them again, tempted by the classy looks and solid build. I've had a wide variety of cars from Lancia Y10 to Ferrari Mondial and I tend to change my cars too often really, especially if you ask my wife.
A couple of years ago I had a Jaguar XF, also with a 3 litre diesel and I had a variety of small problems with it. I'm hoping the E Class serves me better.
We're off to Falmouth today, a 350 mile drive, so I'm looking forward to a smooth, relaxing and economical run. I'll post more when I get back I imagine.
Meanwhile here's a quick phone pic taken through the kitchen window! Let me know if you can't see it for any reason.
