Morning all
Been a long time lurker of the forum while on the hunt for a C63 for the last few months. I missed out on a corker last week, a white 14 plate with red leather! called for it last Monday, Was sorting out the funds, and in the mean time it had sold.
I've now found two, which are coincidentally about 5 minutes away from eachother just outside Manchester ( a nice 3.5/4hr drive for me from South Wales).
The first is a 63 plate, 33k miles, Obsidian black coupe, with very rare sand leather, HK, silver 19s, command online, FDSH, x4 new Conti's
the second (from a Mercedes dealer), is a 14 plate, 11k miles, Obsidian black, red leather, silver 19s.
im absolutely torn between the two! im 25, and have no kids. i have no need for a saloon, however i cant help but think C63s are the only car i prefer in saloon guise. With that said, once i see a coupe in person my mind is always swayed! My current car is a red 2009 Golf mk5 R32 which is also a 5 door. (insurance is only £100 more before anyone asks!).
I've left a deposit on both (which wasnt my actual intentions!) and will decide tommorow after seeing them. Im leaning towards the 14 plate saloon as its newer and has red leather, which i feel makes the car look more special. And of course the Merc warranty. I can have deposits back on either car so thats not an issue. My R32 is being used as part exchange.
Do any members have either sand or red leather? How does it 'wear' and are you happy with your choice? the 14 plate car has no HK audio, or command online.. will i i miss these? In some ads, the command online screens look slightly bigger than the command screens..although i could be seeing things. i've spotted the yellow to grey speedo differences after 12/62 cars onwards too.
Any other insight or thoughts on the mentioned cars would be great!
