hi am just about to take delivery of a 98 c180 estate (would this be a w202?)
any ways after having a an e36 cabriolet,and briefly an e36 m3 (before i bent it) thanks to my ever helpfull insurace company i was left with not very much pocket money. so deciding to stay with german build quality and over engineering i plumped for the 180 wich still looks pretty good for an 11 year old car. got it for pennies over 1k so have treated my self to a nice grey leather interior and a spare set of alloys to get refurbed..so is looking like a nice new project to get me teeth into!

Things to look out for - watch out the the rusty front wheel arches (feel under the lip), air-con condensor rotting and MAF troubles. Check the key blade is working in the drivers door and boot, these are often frozen up though lack of use - leaving the battery inaccessible when it dies (lots of releasing fluid and patience can generally free it up - best to check/sort now though). Also make sure you have two keys.
