New Member - Tectite E55 AMG

Hi, I'm new to the forum having just picked up my first Mercedes. I've bought a lovely 2004 Tectite grey E55 AMG. I was happy to buy a more common silver one as I love the sleeper look of these cars but I was sold on the colour when I saw it.

I looked at a few but paid a bit over the odds for this one as it was so much cleaner than the others with only 2 former owners and a stack of bills.

A few jobs to do but I negotiated that into the price. Front brakes is really all it needs and bluetooth integration.

I'm loving the car and managed to get about 26.7 mpg on a long trip with the car on cruise at 70 on the motoway, some town but no stop start. I'm not concerned about economy but I think it's also a useful measure of the engines health.

Looking forward to learning more about this wonderful beast.

I almost got 28 until I reached High Wycombe. It's hills sucked the average down. Though to be fair it was an evening drive and traffic was light [emoji6]

Nice car and Tektite is a favourite colour of mine. I once saw an S210 for sale in Tektite, but it was sold when I enquired.

Americans spell it with a c but as said - Tektite.
