Hi,
Newbie here.
I have a 2013 C220 Auto and when I start the engine an icon showing 3 passengers (which I assume refers to rear passengers) lights up. I thought it was because I'd opened one of the rear doors but it lights up even when a rear door has not been opened.
Can anyone advise what this is and if it can be blocked?

It is to inform you which of the three rear seats is occupied and which of them has or hasn't done up their seat belts. It is therefore part of the car's safety system and cannot be disabled by the driver. I have kids and find it extremely useful to tell if they are strapped in safely. If you have no rear passengers just ignore it - it only comes up for a few seconds.

I think if you hit the "return" button on the steering wheel it goes away until you start the car again!
