New NTG2.5 Comand European maps (2010/2011)

NTG2.5 map update DVD set is now in the UK.

Its called V5.0

Croatia +33% road coverage, +12% house number coverage
France +51530 km roads, +30% house number coverage
Germany +9319km roads, +84,219 points of interest
Croatia +33915km, +4,401 Points of Inetrest
Romania +86% road coverage (149,700 km)
Spain +21,315km road coverage, +41,803 Points of Interest

did anyone else got an update error?

Just received the new DVD's. After inserting the first disk I received an Map update error (Maps can not be updated, please contact your MB dealer).

Did anyone else had a similar experience?

I suppose this also applies to the NTG2.5 HD that you retrofitted to my W203 some time ago?

I vaguely remember that we were talking about version 11.0 being installed at the time, or am I getting confused here?

Sorry, I got things mixed-up...

I do have v4.1, apparently...

Can you please let me know if Firmware 1.800 is currently the latest, or do I need to come and see you for an upgrade?

Hi, the map update error means you need new firmware which a mb dealer should do under warranty if you car came with ntg2.5

New firmware fixes a load of bugs but also gives volume boost option on the aux input which is also used for the iPod kit on cars without media interface and alsO gives ECO mode routing for navigation.

If you have the 4.1 map already I don't think a firmware update is needed. Last firmware version for cars was jan 2010. For vans it was nov 2010 so I am wondering if there will be a new one for cars soon.
