New S Class

Love the new S class and would love to go up a class and get the S320 CDI.
Price have already been unveiled (up bya bout £3,000, gulp) and then there are all the options to add up. We'll see...car will be 3 in september so need to get on the waiting list nowu recokn?

BTW the V8 AMG arrives around march 2007
CL altough debuts at Geneva hits the roads just before the 2006 world cup
E class F/L arrives around June
R class finnaly arrives in the UK in april :bannana:

What else is there? ;)

We got a letter from our dealer today following my email,

Basically with all the paste filler removed.

The brochure has not been released as of yet, and he will personally drop one off the day they get it. It goes on saying that he feels that he will have problems arranging a demo for the weekend, but the matter will be given priority.

BTW I picked up my little pug today, so Zoos a happy man. Also may be of interest to some its sat nav and radio etc is on top of the dash and it is very natural and one of the things I enjoyed about the car.

Only problem with the looks of the new S class is that the rear wheel arches look like Ford Mondeo and the front look like Mondeo morphing in to RX-8.

Still might buy one though (after it's depreciated for 7 years or so).

I used Gary's link and got the old brochure :o

I would be very surprised if the managing director of your dealership does not get the first S-class that lands on the forecourt. Kick him in the ego ;) ;) and borrow that car for how ever long it takes to make up your mind (within reason of course)

I do like the deep metallic maroony colour.

Silver!!!!!!!!!! Is so yesterday's colour :) :)

I see the CDI version is going to be even more uprated to give it more horses. I just wish they would install the V8, still they won't and that's the bottom line.

I was at a meeting with a client in Blackpool this morning and he had a new S-class brochure, so it must have been released to certain dealers (had a comp slip stapled to the front, but didn't catch which dealer).

I think it's stunning

That my dealer WTF.

Just received a follow-up letter from DaimlerChrysler UK stating they will send me a new brochure as soon as they become available and offering me a test drive.

I certainly can't complain about that type of service.

I requested a brochure about 3 months ago from mbuk and one arived last week with all the details, try phoning their customer services.

Just checked the brochure and it came from my preffered dealer (on the brochure request) SG Cardiff.

I saw a black one at SG Bridgend about 2 weeks ago, I was more impressed withe new ML320 cdi parked next to it.

Hi gary,
Thanks for that, I'm in no rush as I will not unfortunately be buying one for the reasons I always jokingly refer to

Let me know though if you get an R-class brochure. :)

John

Glojo, I fancied the outgoing S class but it took me about 15 mins to get the car (test drive) in halfway in the garage, the odds were on me scratching it on lots of occasions. The new one is even bigger.

:) Crikey
We are very fortunate and our estate can go into our garage, the door can be closed, then we can open the tailgate (without it hitting the garage door opening mechanism :) ) So hopefully the long wheelbase R-class will fit?

I am still not convinced about the looks of the R. I would buy the new S-class tomorrow (if they had a diesel option and of course the estate :o )

I have only seen pictures of the S in silver or maroon and my personal preference out of the two, would be the latter in LWB form.

I have a brochure for the new S-class - picked it up at the Frankfurt show!! :bannana:

Rory

MB have updated the UK website and the S class details including prices can now be viewed online :bannana:

Why all the delays?????

My local dealer has sold a new S class and I saw one on the M42 back in mid November.

It looked good in black.
