Car
E500 5.5 V8 Estate!
I went to see the dealer to do some paperwork and took a couple of shots. Better ones next week when I bring her home!

The spec on this car is amazing and when I saw the interior of it I was stunned. It's the loveliest car I've been in. My father in-law had one of these, a diesel, but it didn't feel anything as special as this. My wife was stunned too, she said it looks new and unused, I agree, even the load sill hasn't a scratch.

It's quite expensive to change cars. Just got my warranty done, insurance swapped, plates changed over, Bluetooth adaptor and winter tyres ordered...............

looks like a sweet car wouldnt mind one myself

Lovely looking S211! :)

Looks like a right cracker that. Looking forward to further pics when you get her home. :)

I've seen one other 211 with the black headlining and cream leather, marvellous combination and 5500cc will make you grin for ages

Wow that looks very fresh, agree it's a fantastic colour combination, very rare - looks like a great find!

Look forward to seeing more pictures of it.

Looks like a special motor. Look fwd to seeing more when you get it home. Congrats!

Looks really nice.

Ours does get used to carry quite literally anything and everything. I do like the interior but in ours even grey isn't great with kids... Black maybe boring but seem to wear and look good all the time :)

I agree more pics when you can

Just keep an eye on the wheels, they are Ankaa and look fabulous, however, the finish is known as diamond cut and it's very smooth. It's a bare metal finish which is lacquered.

The problems occur because there's no key for the lacquer to adhere to, particularly around the bolt holes.

Once the lacquer is broken the alloy goes milky white and it spreads.

Kerbing and clumsy tyre fitters (when they remove/replace the bolts) aren't helpful.

They can be refurbed but most co's only give a short warranty with diamond cut wheels for the reasons above.

stunning car i cant wait to change , my 1999 clk looks very dated and equipment sparse now ;(
Gratz on the car , but i wish you guys would stop posting pics of different mercs lol , i cant decide if its a e55 clk55 or cl55 grrr ;)

Hi, thank you for the comments! I will post lots of pics when I pick her up on Friday!

I wonder why the dark headlining is a rarity when it looks so beautiful.

Costs a lot to fit, I would love it on my car

Great car, love the E500. Had a rental one a few years ago, lovely ride and gobs of grunt. Nice purchase!

That looks great. Just read your other thread on it too... another car to add to my (not so) shortlist of spacious, good value and fast family cars - as quick as my CLK was

need more pics please-looks great!:thumb:
