New to me e55 amg

Hello everyone,

A little about myself my names Luke and like many of you absolutely love cars.
I've had few ok'ish cars lots of Imprezas, evo's and a e39 m5. Sorry for boring you.

Due too growing family I decided the e55 ticked all the boxes and after only a few drives all I can say is wow what a awesome car.

More about the car, 2004 e55 fsh 98k it has the panoramic roof, distronic and keyless go (which doesn't work). Sort of wish it had the rear blind and upgraded sound system which I'm pretty sure it doesn't have! Another bonus was that all suspension has been replaced quite recently too.

Hopefully I can learn a lot from the forum and maybe even give some input too!

I notice some E55's have different wheels, either your fat 5-spoke style or others with a twin 5-spoke style. Was one an option or something, or part of a facelift?
I'm just interested.

I think the wheels were off the sl55 but not sure if I'm right
However I'm pretty happy with them!

Roger, I have had my car for 10 years now, last ownership of a car lasted 2 years, some times I think I should just sell it, but when I get in at at rare times these days, and think 'wow' still such a thrill, and I further get inspiration from reading about other guys buying their 1st E55K's and how excited they are about the car, like the OP here. The fact that there are a few other long time owners of the W211 E55 still here, warms my heart, albeit there are not the past GTG's for the 55's as used to be, but thats nature, the new outsiders of the 55TT and modded 63,s outstrip the old, but I await till the really highly modded w211 E55 I know is on it's way, is unleashed, it will be something to see, and I will pay to see it at Vmax, TV or track or when the owner chooses to arrive at such events. I look forward to it all.
This said the guys on the upcoming Spa and Goodwood track days will be coming past me on track, but it's still fun time, and the evening dinner and banter with the guys makes it all worth it. Hope to hear of other 55 ownership, seems a good few on sale on Ebay at the moment.

I believe they did. Not too many estates come up for sale now and they seem to fetch top price.
