New to Mercedes - whats W202 and W203?

Hi all

Just bought a 2002 02 plate C220 CDI mercedes last week, and haven't got a clue about all the technical bits and pieces. Been browisng throught these forums to try and learn how to install a Cd Changer. Come across a lot of talk about W203 and W202, pardon my ignorance but what the heck is a W202 and W203????? please help, cheers

a car of that vintage would be a W203.

It's a model number eg: CLK 97-02 = W208 02-now = W209

The first three digits of your chassis number will tell you exactly what model type you have.
