New Website

Any comments or suggestions pleasel let me know

I suggest you take a little time to correct the spelling and grammatical errors, such as "Car's" and "Mercedees".

If you are selling a prestige car, why not take it somewhere scenic for photos taken against a more attractive background? A local park or beauty spot will show the car to better advantage than what looks like an industrial estate.

Also, don't take photos into the sun as they will be very underexposed. Take photos with the sun behind you, or to your left or right, but not ahead of you. If you must take backlit photos, learn how to use the camera's exposure compensation feature and give about 1.5 stops more exposure.

Overall, the page looks a little amateurish, with a basic font in a over-bright colour against a white background. A short course in web design might help, or you could employ a web designer to do it for you. You might be surprised to learn how cheap they are.

Thanks for your suggestion Tony

Echoing everything said so far and adding.......

I think you should drop the cheap hosting and google mail addresses, register a domain in your own name and get a professional hosting deal so you have something like "www.myfirstcar.com" then you can have a whole host of email addresses sales, support, enquiries etc all at your own domain name - it looks a lot more professional.

Also make sure you have proper contact details on your site, if you are trading on the web without them Trading Standards will be on your case very quickly

I would choose my words very carefully. Although its not impossible for a car to be "pristine" after 85K miles, its unlikely. It is probably very, very good, but pristine infers "as new".
Much better to be less lavish with your use of words like that. Take a look at a few classy websites and follow their example.
Sorry if that sounds a trifle negative, but only trying to help.

I think that's a very good point dave. Too many traders refer to vehicles as being imaculate, etc and they are really dressed up sheds.

Keep it real and honest and people will respect you for it and be more tempted to buy from you.......

Why not give us a few more details such as a full specification of the car, information on any extras fitted, etc?

Hello

Perhaps a few more pics inside etc, also as mention take the pictures somewhere nice and keep the theme.

There is a garage that advertises near us and all the pictures the cars in almost the same place wheels turned and they look neat.

Give as much information as possible without sounding like a estate agent (hyping it up).

May also be worth having a quck link to tech specs, what with the current Tax implications people may want to know.

Good luck

It's nice to see you have not taken offensive at any of the excellent advice and I agree with every word said.

The wording\punctuation of the advert is not very good at all and I will tactfully say it encourages criticism which as a selleryou don't want.

How much would it cost to get professional advice, or is there someone here that might offer 'Mates Rates' :)

Don't enter next year's Eurivision Song contest. :D :D

Good luck with this venture

Regards
John
