A definite Marmite car...some will love, others will hate. I think the brand needs this, but the range is screaming out for an SLK/TT range.

I prefer this version of it:

Quite commanding, but i bet the EU big wigs will have something to say about that flatnosed front regarding passenger safety

Do you mean pedestrian safety? A flat bumper fascia can offer a larger area to decelerate the lower leg form in the consumer not legislative EuroNCAP test. Mostly though it is the foam that is mounted behind the fascia that absorbs the energy.

Anyway, I hope Jaguar continue with its bold modern styling, the current XJ is too retro for my liking.

Latest gossip is it will have a glass roof and will be long wheelbase only a big brute.

I saw the concept of this at the motor show about 5 years ago, it`s absolutley massive, must be 18ft long!

had a look at the xk & its one of the best looking sports coupes in years not sure about this yet i think more photos needed

there's a hint of Bentley Continental to those lines - I guess they're trying to take it upmarket and charge more for the pleasure.

The current XJ range, albeit of modern construction, doesn't look a million miles removed from the old smoker my Dad used to drive in the early 70's!

And it's about time they gave it decent rear legroom as well if they're competing against A8/7 series/S class.

I have been told that the picture may not be totally acurate but it will look like a big XF with new engines, and thats good enough for me.

I like it but it doesn't 'Look' like a jag

de badge it completly and ask people what it is....

I like it, although I might actually prefer the wheels to be 1" smaller. I still prefer the classic look of the current XJ though.

Jags traditionally have a "delicate" styling. Poised, elegant and above all pretty and almost understated, a sort of "strong words, softly spoken" aproach. Summed up by one word "Classy"

That looks brutish, ugly, overstyled and far too "American"

And it will sell really well :D

At last a car to rival BMW in the ugly bug stakes.

Wheels far too big and out of proportion. Top half looks as if it came off another car -one that was much smaller or an elephant sat on it and squashed it somewhat. The word Yuk comes to mind.

Is it styled for India perhaps?
