newbie Alert!

Hello people, I'm John from Aintree, Liverpool. I usually frequent the Vauxhall forums as I have owned loads of them but I've recently bought a C180 Sport (W202) that needed a little work to get it back on the road, namely a Radiator and cowling's... I ordered them from Mercman last Thursday, Not seen hide nor core of it even though I was assured I would have it for Monday? Anyone had the same trouble with parts not turning up?

Hi and welcome the forum.
Mercman is not perfect but he's far better than some Merc breakers.
Presumably you've phoned Mercman?
Is the postal strike still affecting deliveries?

Phoned on Monday and was assured it would be on my doorstep Yesterday (Wednesday) The postal strike doesn't effect couriers? I'm going to give them a call at about 2PM.. It's normally the case, that if there hasn't been any deliveries of this kind at the house by 2PM (Being about half a mile from DHL or RM and 2 miles from City Link depots) there usually is non... To be honest it went against by better judgment ordering parts from so far as I like to call into places that don't deliver. Although Them being in Southampton doesn't mean I won't travel to sort out a problem! I also have good friends who Live/work there so the would also pop in to find out the problem.;)

Just Phoned them... The reason I haven't received it is because, it wasn't sent out! The reason it wasn't sent out is because, Wait for it... The couldn't find it? Why didn't they phone me? Anyway, the order has been canceled and I have sourced new items for £167 including VAT from a local Auto radiator company. And the shroud and baffle from Mercedes... I should have done this in the first place as it's costing me £15 a day storage on the car? and I would have saved £60 (To date). The cost from Mercman was £100 inc. VAT & delivery..
We live and learn:o

although I have not been deterred from owning a Mercedes:rock: Try getting parts for my other car:)

GSF & Eurocarparts are useful for some parts.
Nick_Mercedes
on this forum has been great at sourcing cheap, genuine parts for my turbo conversion.

Sometimes used Merc parts from a breaker are more expensive than new.;)
