Lottery numbers, as you have probably already surmised, are a special case. The government made a special case to the CBI (Crystal Ball Inspectorate) that Lottery numbers should be exempt from FCUK (Forward Concession Universal Knowledge) and in a ground-breaking, history-making judgement, the CBI acceded to the government's urgings and granted a special dispensation to the government. FCUK-II as the amendment is known within the corridors of Whitehall, prohibits the possessor of a Crystal Ball from peering into the future and observing the lottery numbers.

So, much as I'd like to, sorry but I cannot oblige.

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum.

Don't know if you have the same engine as me but I get about 24-25 in normal use and 27-28 on a long motorway run

The '98 240 is a 2.4 L V6 whereas yours will be the 2.6 L unit, power is the same at 170 bhp but I believe the 2.6 has slightly more torque over the 2.4.

Thanks Steve. Knew mine was a 2.6 but remembered reading an earlier post saying that the 240 engine had changed. Wonder why they didn't call it a 260? Mind you there seems to be a game between Merc and BMW with neither of them using the actual size of engine.
