I am sort of new, even though I registered about 5 years ago when I had a w202 c250. Since then I've had various cars, including a couple of W203s. I decide I liked the w203, so I have bought myself a relatively nice one, a 2002 C32.
I bought the car cheapish as it had a gearbox problem, that is now fixed (after an £1800 bill from a gearbox specialist). I've only done around 200 miles in the car and need to take it back for a gearbox checkup after 5-600 miles, so it's still very new to me.
I'm now trying to fix a few other minor niggles, the most recent of which are a faulty SRS module, a broken headlight level sensor arm, and an indicator that won't stay on. I'm sure I'll find a few other bits as I use the car.
I've also been trying to read up on stereo upgrades as I'm a little confused with the optical setup and upgrade options on this, so expect stupid questions about that shortly
I'm currently toying with the idea of getting a STAR diagnostic off ebay as I will need one to reset the headlight aim, and then again to sort the SRS module. I don't even know if there is an Indy near me (Bourne, Lincs) that has STAR capability. I'm sure a couple of trips to a dealer to fix the above would go part of way to buying one for myself.
If you've seen the username elsewhere then it probably is me, as I use the same username everywhere, have several cars, and am on a few forums.
