Newbie just bought a C32 AMG Wagen

Hi all,

Just bought a 2001 C32 AMG Wagen jasmine blue awesome car - not picking it up 'till next weekend though

Seems to be OK FSH, 12 months MOt etc - everything seemed to work even the drivers side heated seat!! Unmodified too even still on the original 17s

cant wait to get it - its been on the list for a long time and took me a while to persuade the wife buying a car older than the one I sold was a good idea!!

Looking forward to some good driving and also some good advice and banter on here

I think it was the one that I was looking at on eBay. Looked like a good motor. The only thing that put me off was the 6 previous owners, but if you have had It checked out im sure all is fine.

Yeah that concerned me too but I did my own HPI check and every single MOT and document was there mileage and servicing all lined up so I thought I'd have a punt (I didn't pay what he was asking mind you).

I would say that the guy has been superb and very honest - his service has been excellent so far - still havent picked it up yet though so we'll see

It has had some paint on the drivers door mind you - done by Merc - its a pucker job but for some reason they fitted a gloss black B pillar cover instead of matching the rest of the car??? annoying but I will try and replace that.

I'll post some pics when I finally pick it up.

As long as you get all checked I'd be happy. I'm looking for a c32 for a while and I'm just being patient I really want to try and buy good one for sensible money. Let me know your experience's with the car when you get it. Good luck.

6 owners on a Performance car is nothing, especially when it is 11 years old.
Many of them see 2 owners in the first 2-3 years and then another owner every couple of years.

I have always found the cars with more owners to be far better condition wise, come to the conclusion that people buy them, sort out all the little niggles like scratched trim, interior creaks etc. etc. that the previous owner has just got used to over time.

I looked at loads of M3 CSLs and nearly gave up, but I wanted a 1 or 2 owner car, then in the end looked at a 5 owner one as it was cheap and it was perfect. The guy had used it for a year, got it out of his system and was onto a GT3 next.

I like that!! the 6 owners wasnt too much of an issue I change my car every 12 months so I just always figure I'm not the only one that likes to burn money

an M3 CSL sounds awesome I've always liked those - if it wasnt for the pesky dog!
