Next car suggestions

Another vote for the E55 AMG, why have an V8 when you can have a V8 Kompressor.

Why go for a half way house, go for a w211 E55!

they are going for cheap money now

Cant believe Alps was the first person to mention W211 E55...they are rock bottom at the moment, value for money, power, luxury, reliability (forget SBC scare mongering), without doubt unbeatable buy....oh and did I mention you can officially join the AMG lounge lol

Surely a no brainer decision....:thumb:

I'd want to spend £9-10k on a good E55K, one for £6-7k leaves me open to a disaster of a car.

Just do it, lose the audi. And hay presto you'll have a decent 55.

You know it makes sence.

The 3.2 litre Alfa engine is beautiful to look at and to listen to especially when being extended, however in any front wheel drive car such as the 147 putting down this amount of power and torque you will get understeer and although fun in a straight line it is not a good car around the more iinteresting twisty bits :)

Alpina B10 3.3. It is just brilliant. Honestly and quite sincerely, it is brilliant on every level. I am selling because I'd like the funds for my business and to pay yet another b..... bill on my b..... Allard.

I make you a better price.

I watched one of these Alfas doing the hill climb at Brooklands a few weeks back , went well and sounded fab.

They do sound gorgeous, I just find too much power in front wheel drive is unrewardng, on a hll climb you can probably throw it around a bit more than when driving on the road?? Still sounds like it was fun though :D

Honestly , it flew up there !

I had to go and have a look at it in the paddock afterwards , as I'd never seen ( or heard of one before )

This is very true, I would hold off and up the budget a bit or hope there's a desperate seller around, I would prefer one to the E39 M5 which I think is a very good car in its own right too, if that was your max budget then that's what I would go for.

I thought you were going to get a 190 16v?

I doubt I'll find one for my budget, it seems as though a 'project' Cosworth would cost £3k at least.

I'm still keeping an eye out though...;)

What about you?
