If you thoroughly clean the rear 3/4s on a regular basis apply loads of waxoyl, re route the exhaust so that it doesn't go over the fuel tank and remove the heat protection from the top of the tank you will delay the rot significantly. The heat protection acts as a sponge and the tanks rot from the top down. Ensure the front swivels are always full of grease and regularly grease the prop shaft's nipples, there's not much else to go wrong, engine and gearbox are very reliable.
