Nice looking w124 E320

Yep, looks like a nice one - owned by one of our forum members - Vlad IIRC :)

Nice clean car but is he being optimistic with the price or are these CEs really appreciating like this? (sorry didn't mean to seem like I'm having a go)

Are these cars really more valuable than CLKs?
I suppose they are more likely to become classics, but £5k looks a bit steep to me.

For 5K I'd want aircon, original wheels, a new rear card (see below), oh, and a couple of turbos :D

There's always the " Best Offer" button......::rolleyes:

Re price, I sold my other E320 Coupe last year for £6450...OK it had slightly lower miles, ie 65,000 and air con, but came with standard 8 hole alloys and condition wise it was no better than this one.

What makes you say that ?

Pupsi.....I can assure you that this car has MB Sportline suspension .....remember on W124's you could specify the sportline suspension as an extra or if you wanted to you could then specify sportline seats etc etc, depending on how deep your pockets were.......not all sportlines have the little sportline badges on the front wings.

Hence the question mark after my comment!
I was under the impression that all sportlines came with the recaro seats, as per the conversations ive had with Mercedes staff.

Don't think the coupes had the Sportline spec interior, 500e style seats in particular, which is a shame as they do fit.

Yes these 124 Coupe's are very desirable. Certainly worth the money IMHO for a good one.

A very nice car with a very rare and nice colour too. A shame no AC and non genuine wheels but still a good looker.

Factory Spotlines did have the same basic Recaro seats as the 500E.

Are the "basic" Recaro's the ones with the perforated leather panels........its those that I thought were Sportline spec and that I had not seen in a coupe ?

These were not fitted to the coupe or cabriolet, due to the larger bolsters. Ive seen a coupe in press photos with sportline seats but not seen one with them.

For £5K I would want a coupe that didn't have any head gasket or loom issues. However the rear window doesn't look like it is delaminating and there doesn't appear to be any rust around the aerial. Also, the badge on the boot appears to be in the wrong place.

looking on page 64 of Classic and Sports car magazine there is a `95 E320 cab in blue with grey leather, sportline, air con, 5 spd, heated seats, cruise, 31k, full mbsh, 25k!!!! cant find a webs advert on their site but that cannot be worth that much,
