However, I think if the aforementioned test is performed again, try keeping the hands above the head but move the elbows forwards at eye level. It may get the inwards/outwards swing just be moving the arms whilst mid swing.

Yes, this does happen!! Switching hands also switches which tassel spins inwards

Ain't science fascinating??
