Hello all,
I would appreciate any non run flat tyre recommendations for a 2015 E class A207. Top priorities for me would be ride comfort, grip and longevity. Being from London UK all season would be best, or if anyone thinking differently id love 2 hear what u think. Cheers

Welcome to the forum.

You are going to get all different kinds of brands recommended such is the variety available.
Michelin Pilot Sport All season 4 and Continental Allseason Contact 2 both get excellent write ups.

I'm not sure living in London necessitates all season tyres like the North of England and I'd look at Goodyear Asymmetric 6 and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 or 5. Both brands are excellent tyres. For more budget conscious, Falken are a good tyre.

Edit. From my experience with them, avoid Pirelli P-Zero tyres.

I know tell me about it. I thought I'd go online and buy a set of tyres when I had 10 minutes...that was last Monday! So you reckon I wouldn't necessarily need all weather tyres? I just thought as the weather is so unpredictable those tyres would be a good choice. I have heard good things about the ones you mentioned especially the pilot sport 5... Cheers pal

Very good advice.

I have had excellent performance from the Goodyear Asymetric range.

When you have decided on a tyre, check Asda Tyres for pricing. Along with Black Circles, I found them most competitive.
Delivered to a garage of your choice nearby the price includes balancing, valve and disposal. No more to pay.

My advice would be to find out which tyres are available in the sizes you need, especially if you have a staggered fitment (ie different sizes on the front and rear axles), as it’s best to have the same if you possibly can.

Post your tyre sizes and load rating for more specific advice 👍🏻

I managed over 24,000 miles on a set of Goodyear on the rear of my previous E320 CDI.

The ride was excellent noise low and grip in the wet and cold weather extremely good.

Thanks for the advice Bobby Dazzler! Upon checking I can't help feel that the dealership chucked on any random tyres. The rears are 255/35/ZR18 94W and 235/40ZR18 95Y on the front. I'm pretty sure they where a staggered set up as stock it being a e220 A207 AMG line, but I could be wrong. Going off what you said about its best to have same size all round I'm thinking going down that route now.

Not the same size all round, but the same manufacturer and tread all round if possible.

Can you post a photo of the wheels, as that will enable us to identify the wheel and the size which would have been fitted when new.

Based on what you’ve said it seems likely that the wheel - and tyres - should be staggered, but best check before spending money on tyres if there’s any doubt.

My mistake...i thought they tyres where staggered because the tyre dimensions on front and rear are different. The alloys are all same size, so no, theyre not staggered. Just different width tyres thrown on I guess

From what I can see of the wheel, they do seem to be the correct tyres sizes. The wheels are staggered, they’re 8.0-inches wide on the front axle and 8.5-inches wide on the rear axle.

Using Camskill as a single website to get a good feel for tyres, the only MO (Mercedes) tyre available in the right staggered sizes for both front and rear tyres is the Continental ContiSportContact 5P.

On the same website, searching for tyres which are not specific to a single car manufacturer, and the right staggered sizes for both front and rear tyres are available for Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S (MLS4S).

I can’t see any all season or winter tyres in those sizes, only summer tyres. Either of the two above are excellent tyres, and the MPS4S is exceptional in all conditions for a summer tyre.

I’d need to spend more time looking, but Camskill list pretty much every available tyre, so if it’s not listed then it probably isn’t available. Links for the list which are not for a specific car manufacturer.

That photo is perfect, it confirms exactly what should be on there so now you can buy with confidence. The challenge will be finding all season tyres in the right sizes.

Those Continentals 5P and Michelin 4S are both great summer tyres which perform better than the majority of summer tyres in cooler weather. Some people would give their right arm for 4S in the right sizes 👍🏻

I was leaning more towards go flats but after what youre saying and from researching online I think I'll go with the michellin 4s ( if I can find the right size ). Thanks again bud👍🏼

I may have to fit MP4S on the ML anyway; the only alternative seems to be Pirelli Scorpion Verde in the 295/45/19 size needed, and I'm not a fan of Pirellis.
