Got a heads-up on this today from a mate who works there.
At Hobbs Parker car auctions (ashford, kent),there is a 1998-S E300 Turbodiesel Auto Avantgarde (cloth) going through on monday
Bodywork needs tlc but mechanically it is very sound aparrently and the interior is like a new car the auctioneer reckons.
Car is sold-as-seen on the basis that it has a broken road spring.
225k or something with plenty of SH.
I buy out of there every monday and wednesday and its usually pretty good.
The man down there reckons the guy has around £1200 on this which is good for anyone who breaks these as there is definately a profit as he said the lump, gearbox, interior and wheels and tyres are great.
If I had space/time I would be buying this to strip for spares for my E300TD.
Just thought I would mention this as there is a bargain for someone out there!
