Setting the clock on my newly-acquired 2010 A207, I thought I might as well check the date. It was set to 16/04/2008. Say what? :dk:

Would - could - this be a factory setting, or had somebody just been messing about? The car didn't leave the factory until mid-2010...

The majority of computing systems default to 1st Jan 1970 (i.e. Linux "epoch" time), regardless of the fact that they didn't exist then, nor running Linux.

Chances are that was the date the electronics for the entertainment system were signed off, and therefore forever baked into it.
