Hi all,

Applogies if these questions have been already covered in the past.

I have W203 MY 2006 c-class and I am onsidering replacing the Audio-20 for a NTG2.5 Comand unit.
I have read on here that there is limited availability due to the Japanese factory being affected last year.

Is it still possible to order purchase a new Comand NTG2.5?

I might as well consider the further enhancements for NTG2.5 such as DAB and TV:-

Is DAB possible on NTG2.5 for W203? Would I require a DAB base kit and a DAB completer kit? - I don't see any suitable DAB completer kits for W203 on comandonline so don't know if any are compatible.

Are there discrete DAB antennas available as I dont have a comfort phone with roof antenna for phone.

For Television, I see there is a Mercedes TV Tuner for NTG2.5 available on Comandonline.
Would the antenna be visible and where can they be located?
Are futher parts required to allow TV with NTG2.5?

For Media Interface Plus, does it require Media interface to be fitted first?

Is there much benefits of Media Interface Plus for UK users?

Thanks in advance.

Yes W203 NTG 2.5 is available (new parts)

DAB and TV are possible. all the parts are available yes you would need a DAB base kit and a completer kit.
Antennas may be visible it depends on what screens are in the car. Antenna amps and looms will be required.

Yes media interface is required for media interface plus.

Many Thanks Alfie for the explanation of the NTG2.5 options available, I'll consider them and get back to you.

TV and DAB for NTG2.5

Hi,

Regarding MB television tuner and DAB tuner retrofit to 2006 W203 which will have NTG2.5 Comand present.

Where can the TV tuner DAB hardware/ tuner be located as I do not wish to loose the space in the glovebox.

Where will the antennas for TV and DAB be located, (inside front or rear screens?) and are thare any links for these on comandonline.co.uk?

Realistically in London area, is the TV and DAB reception usable with these types of antennas, as I would be concerned about picture freezing or unable to receive DAB.

Would it be achievable to have NTG2.5, Linguatronic, Media Interface, DAB and TV fitted in one day?

Many Thanks.

Yes the whole lot could just about be done in one day if we had the car first thing in the morning.

The control units would be out of sight in the boot behind existing trim panels. The antennas would need looking into but you would certainly end up seeing a couple of the TV ones im afraid.
