Does that - figure look right?
If anyone with a good mic volume could see there values would be great.
Hang up 6 *

Thanks for any help.

Looks like the values change but what does this indicate?

New genuine vito mic sorted it out at last, clips in the over head and give great quality sound and volume, at last!!!!!

part numberA001 820 45 35

I see you found the mic thread, if your having to raise your voice for anyone to here you you need this mic.
Just looking at my top picture it says TMC manuel, should that be set to auto?

Well I am very pleased that you got it sorted in the end..
Maybe that was just as well as you got sod all help from here !!

I have a NTG 2.5 with a optional mic that is stuck to the roof lining via velcro..
Its very good indeed as I dont need to raise my voice at all..
You do know that there is an adjustment from within the COMAND menu dont you ??
If you have the NTG 2.5 manual then its on page 113
If not then do the following:
1. Press TEL function button
2. Select Telephone / Adjust volume
3. Select Reception volume or Transmission volume.

Note.. The Reception volume and Transmission volume options only appear if your mobile phone has been authorized.

Hi

Yes found it, Not sure on that, can check mine for you

On the NTG2.5 there are 2 white connector that go with the quadlock, my mic is in one of those, but there is also another wire that is connected into the same white connector, got my leads from a guy on Ebay because I was going from audio 5 to ntg2.5, This all mean I can't just unplug the mic to replace without the other wire coming out as well, Not sure what kind of quality the mic is, presume not the best
This brings me to the question can I connect another mic into the other socket next to it ? or I will have to join another mic onto the existing wires, besides The MB mic I looked at need to be connected to a loom

Yes I know about the mic volume, it was still rubbish.
I cut the end off the universal mic and fitted a MB female socket to fit the MB Mic.
The difference is like night and day plus it fits the space in the overhead.

Hi zenman,

can you remember how many wires are in the MB microphone, in my courtesy light the is a place for the mic so would like to get the original MB mic to fit in there,

Just 2 wires and will fit that from behind and clip in.

Thanks Zenman,

where did you get the female socket from is it a standard fitting from most places

No it a genuine mercedes part and pins.
You could use any 2 pin plug or just solder the wires.
