In less than a decade, "Influencers" have done some silly things to our perception of what matters in a production car.

There are more people with more money, at a time that there are more supercar, so it’s hardly a surprise that such cars are built and sold.

For as long as car have been made there have been faster cars and fastest cars, and people wishing to build and by them, so not convinced it’s down to influencers.

I do however believe that motoring journalists have been part of the shift towards sporting characteristics - they’ve had more influence for much longer.
