Clk320
Hi there.

I have some serious issues with my clk320 that were triggered by a battery replacement.

The car runs very rough, almost has if there is a sensor that has gone down or a/some coil packs that have died. And it seems to be getting worse. Starts ok but will not Rev up now. Almost wants to die when I open the throttle.

I have done the normal disconnecting of the maf but to no avail.

I am thinking of buying a cheap and cheerful obd code reader to see if I can find out what is going on. I need one that can connect to the 38pin connector under the bonnet. There seem to be so many readers available, many with bad reviews etc.

Has anyone got experience with one that they can confirm works. Don't mind it it is standalone or a PC/iphone app

And/or, know any mobile mechanic that knows these cars in Hampshire?

Thanks in advance guys.

Wayne

Welcome to the forum,

I would have thought a visit to an indy with a star machine would be a better use of your £ and it would diagnose the problem far more effectively. There is part of this forum that lists recommended merc indy's and one may be local to you.

Thanks abecketts.

I will do that. I am going to add another post with my sorry story as I am starting to have second thoughts about my decision that it is not my MAF.

My issue is that the car is not currently drivable as it will do nothing other than idle.

The old girl has given many years of hassle free driving so I feel let down that she is being a problem child now.
