I'm not sure if this is the right area for this so if I've chosen wrongly perhaps a moderator would be kind enough to move it.
This is my problem-- Twice now my C200 has refused to start. This morning was a case in point so I was late for work.
I walk up to the car press the remote to unlock, sit in the car insert the key and as I turn it the srarter engages but only turns the engine what feels like about a quarter of a turn, then the starter cuts out. If I keep turning off and on again I get the same thing keep happening.
When I arrived home this evening I inserted the key and the car turned over and fired up just as normal(this was also the case the first time this happened).
Its almost like the immobiliser is not disengaging, but is the factory immobiliser even connected to the starter circuit??
I'm guessing that this would be a difficult one for a garage to diagnose as unless its refusing to start when they have the car there appears to be nothing wrong.
I would be grateful for any suggestions, does the immobiliser live in the same place on all C class's, if so could someone point me in its direction (assuming that thats where I should begin my investigation)
Thanks in advance Kelvyn
