Sprinter
Hello

The following codes (supplied by my local mechanic) are from a 62 plate Sprinter Van Diesel 313.
411000 44c600 44ce00 44cd00 p0a0f p0638 9128.

Took it to my local as got the all too common ESP/ABS warning lamps. They said take it to a vehicle electrician (somewhat challenging in my home town as seems only to be one and he's at capacity and doesn't return calls).

Don't want to muddy the waters but 12 months ago put a new battery on due to occasional flatness. Old battery seemed to be 2 years only/genuine part. But getting battery drain occasionally (it seems or not properly charging). Not sure if related.

Also I live in the Macclesfield area, if anyone happens to know anyone qualified to fix I'd be keen to hear from them.

Many thanks

Kevin

I've not looked into the codes, but it may be a simple as a faulty brake light switch.
Common enough, circa £8 to replace.

Above the brake pedal,
push in tab,
rotate and pull out to unplug.

A quick look at the codes suggest problems around the throttle actuator.
Try Nick Webster, Poynton.
He may have time to give a quick diagnosis on Star.

Contact | Nick Webster.

Many thanks! Will do. That's just down the road :)

Little update here and a question if anyone is reading....
Nick can't get a high top in so they recommended HPC in Stockport. Now these guys keep promising to call back and never do.. Now I need my van!!! So been on youtube and think I got closer.
In the past, when I turned the key to pos 2 things started spinning up under the bonnet. This not happening currently - I understand this to be the ABS pump - unless I am misremembering, this lack of sound is not the norm.
Can't find a burned out fuse so tomorrow will check the 12 volts to pump tomorrow and ebay one if 12V present.

Another odd thing... when I have the bonnet up and ignition key in pos 2, I hear a high pitched sound coming from the nearside towards the back of the engine under the vent air intake. Sounds about 2Khz. Is this normal? I think I noticed it before but have no idea what it could be unless it is a warning sound that I have the key on. Its not coming from inside the cab as far as I can tell...
Also ordered an iCarsoft OBD2 scanner for the MB to see if it can tell me if its a wheel sensor.

I will update the progress in case anyone else reading...

Oh, I also checked the range of the throttle actuator on my standard OBD2 and range was reported to be within limits.
