Oh no , bad screetch on startup clk 280

Hi everyone, only just noticed this noise on my clk 280 3.0 petrol 109k on clock , ive taken the aux belt off to diagnose but sounds like its comeing from top of the engine, it does it on cold startup then stops and is mostly fine after that , ive done a small video on youtube here

any ideas if its worth fixing ? Cheers guys
 
Sounds like a bad bearing on one of the pulleys?
Is belt shredded around the outer edge?

Plastic pulleys are known to fail, have you checked the upper one above waterpump.
Same goes for harmonic balancer if rubber has cracked you get vibrations and wobble from the largest pulley at the bottom.

The recording is made with the belt removed.
 
Probably the Secondary/Auxilliary Air Pump.
Thanks alecmascot , i found a video on on the air pump and it definitely sounds like that , its a relief to say the least ,i was going to put it through we buy any car to get rid but now i might get the polish out 😅 thanks for your help il get a used one off the bay and try it 👍
