Woohoooo :0

Got the 2 bolts out just now, and i must say they come out very easily - i was amazed!

Unfortunately the injectors themselves do not budge, any advice on how to pr/wiggle these out? without damaging the injectors or the head? :)

You can grip (by pliers) injector body from level of the fuel income line, and try turn and pull it... (bigger tool, easier to make damage :)... ) or another grip place is where the clamp is attached. Is the engine hot now? It's the bore of the injector where the tar is especially adhesive keeping injector sitting tight.

Then your option is rent a extractor kit. It can be done either from solenoid thread or clamp slot.

Edit: some "Gyro Gearlooses" have loosen the bolt, driven for a while, loosen more... until injector popped up... won't recommend until no more other options...

Heh Mersum1ies,

The engine has cooled now, i am soaking in carb cleaner and diesel to try and help loosen the injectors.

I Might be best getting one of these tools, but im gonna spend a little more time before i do :)

To get the engine hot again i need to put new bolts in which is a pain in the **** but heh, got no choice i guess :(

Some advocate putting a blanket on top of the engine and turning it over without bolts or clamps fitted. Not convinced myself...

Mine came out using a couple of large flat-head screwdrivers as levers, with a lot of wiggling — but I caught it very early.

I expect you will need a tool. Some are very very tight.

I've repaired mine and it doesn't chuff anymore but took a fair bit of time to fix, when you get the injectors out have a good look at the ends that seal on the copper washer, mine were burnt away slightly thus causing it to blow by after 100miles or so even with the seats cut and new washers.
I recommend buying a seat cutting tool , eBay for £30 ish mine was Bergen tools a nice little set, and cleaning up the injector seats,
Buy an 8mm helicoil set + hex bolts in advance for repairing the bolt hole because I'd put money on it that one or more of your injector bolts will strip when re torqueing (use new bolts as they are stretch bolts) be careful when drilling as water/oil run galleries run just beneath the bolt hole, btw I did run a 6mm tap down first but still stripped!!
Take your injectors to get new nozzle caps fitted if any marks at all, cost me 30 while I waited but has solved problem and given me some sanity back...where are you ? I could help you im in scotland (free of course lol) nice feeling once its purring and not chuffing!!

I think i best have a good look at mine suppose ;-(
What milage has yours done pal??

I managed to get the injectors out yesterday using the cheap Nielson puller kit off ebay ( £25 ) did the job a treat, i now have them been cleaned and tested, will know the results later on :)

Will post updates as soon as i know :)
