hi folks ive got a bit of oil dripping on my driveway so i went and got the engine steamed cleaned and took it to my local garage this morn he seems to think that the seal has gone in the bottom pulley no2 on my diagram in my owners manual im going to get it steamed cleaned again over the weekend and hoping it is coming from there any more advice would be appreciated cheers mike:)

Depends on the age of your car ,the engine and the grade of oil in it. Using the new "thin" 5W50 synthetics in an engine with lots of miles! leaks sometimes can be cured with a slightly thicker oil like a 10W40 semi synthetic. But the newer engines with extended service intervals really require the new oils so then seal replacement is the answer

ive only had the car a few weeks so still finding my way round it yes a 10-40 may well solve the problem when the seal is done its a e-class 230 elegance p-reg done 87k
