Well at least you know that if you're getting a V8 AMG something on the back of it then it will be worth the wait!

Hopefully will not need to wait too many years as am 72 next year!

Suspect their could be corruption but I have never encountered any. Public officials have all been very helpful despite my poor spoken French and even worse Arabic . They have commiserated with us about the slow ( glacial in some cases ) speed of the system , but as long as you can get the right pieces of paper or legal documents then the system seems to work, just substitute years for months when comparing the legal system with the U.K.

Ha, Will do. The SL needs a clean and the SLK350 is stuck in my garage in bits at the moment, but I'm sure I can rustle something up. I'll post some photos of my previous toys as well. Hope you like 70's & 80's Opels!

Regarding parts (pump). Try giving Dronsfield’s a call (google them)

They usually have a good stock and can offer warranty.

I'm not sure why I said there was a good independent in Wellingborough when I meant Rushden. I think they're called H A Lock. Being a bank holiday I think they'll be shut until Tuesday but I'll give them a call to see if they can help. I will try Dronsfield as well. Thanks for the tip.
