Well I am trying to get to the bottom of a running problem in my car. She is an om605 turbo and at the moment she seems to be leaking diesel from the check valves on top of the pump.
Now my question is will this cause the engine to stop when up the revs only as it can idle for an age no problem but rev her to 2-2.5k and she will stall quick enough.
Thanks in advance

depends on how severe the leak is. if there is lots of airleaks and a blocked filter in the system it will conk out when revved.

search for "delivery valve seals" on here and also "clear pipe oring"

Very easy fix. You do need the funny spline socket though. Undo hard pipe, then remove valve using spline socket replace squashed o ring replace. Dont over tighten

I have all the o rings on the clear pipes changed and filters changed and she while have the top of the pump covered in fuel in a matter of minutes. Just find it strange that she ticks over grand but hold the revs up and she cuts out

There are o rings sealing the pump elements to the body. Im sure theres a diagram somewhere

Grand will order up the socket tomorrow and the seals but was curious as to whether it would cause the problem I have at the mo as I am missing the old girl.

when i did mine, it was leaking pretty bad and caused issues with starting from cold, but once running was fine. but i guess it depends on how severe the leak is. Mine was just weeping out

Yeah the leak is not my problem but it seems to be electrical so just waiting on a diag lead and then start reading the codes

if its leaking that bad (you say its covering top of engine so must be bad!) then i would be inclined to fix the leak 1st and see where you are with it.
