One owner 500E !!!

Take a look at sellers other items.

This guy is selling what look like super clean Mercs, the 500 SEC looks really nice, good spec with rear blind and centre cubby box and a nice colour combination.

Blimey it looks well good and boy is the interior mint !

All original too but didnt these 500E/E500's come standard with the sportline steering wheel ?

That's Avantgarde as advertised in MB Enthusiast

I knew the last owner of this 500E.

He also had E60 AMG (owned 3 in total) and a red 500E (92 I think). Its well maintained 500E and he looks after his cars well.

I did never see the car, only knew him online and exchanged information about 500's when I owned one.

I think they want £12k or thereabouts for the car.

At least 2 owners in total, not one (1 previous owner) in the UK:

1 PREVIOUS OWNER SINCE ITS ARRIVAL IN THE UK IN 2002

Not quite clear how many owners in the ten years before it came to the UK .

But yes, looks very nice and well cared for. :)

Totally agree about the wording and that type of thing puts my hackles up. It is a beautiful car in possibly excellent condition and will no doubt attract a good price.

When I saw the first picture I thought it was a lime green colour which would have been the icing on the cake, but a great car none the less and what a shame they never put the steering wheel on the correct side.

There are now at least ten of these for sale around England (my previous post listed 8).

I doubt there are that many folk falling over themselves to buy one. More sitting for sale than are actually on the road.

This one didn't appear to sell

So there's plenty of choice and this green one looks the poorest. (John, did this belong to your old sergeant? :D

Me thinks my old sergeant would say, "Son that there car is silver not blooming green!" :D :D

take care,
Kind regards
John

Yeah, the 500E isnt really attractive anymore with its big price tag and LHD...everyone rather go for the cheaper and RHD C43 and E55's being offered. Only the true enthusiasts will hold out for the 500e.

I'd say from a specialist dealer and with full history, if that car is as clean as looks in reality He's upwards of £8000. if it was a 560 I'd expect that to be over £10,000 though.

Nice car and nice colour combination, I'm convinced these are going to start appreciating.

Beautiful!!

Think thats a bit optimistic... he would be lucky to get 5-6k for that 500...

although the AMG wheels are nice, they are the wrong ones for the car and let the whole car down IMO

anyone fancy going for a test drive and nicking the centre box for me? ill buy u a pint ;) lol..

Interesting you think that, they are actually the correct option AMG wheels for the car. For some reason they look a whole lot better colour coded.

The split rims you have fitted were only ever offered on the wide body AMG's.

I've had a multitude of calls this week about the various items I have listed on eBay and enquiries about the spare body shell I have, at least two of these guys had paid upwards of £8000 for clean SEC's in the last year.

I think this is the difference between a clean car at around what you suggest - say £5000/£6000 and a car that's a borderline collection piece at probably double that.

I dont think the car listed is a collection piece to be honest, on my hunt, i saw many amazing original SEC's for less than 8K... they looked a lot better than the one Jonathan Aucot is selling.

Maybe the wheels are for the 560 as you mentioned they have wider wings? The front wheels just stick out too far and look a bit Barry really..

...have you seen the one he's selling...?

yes the one on ebay? Its very very clean, but i wouldnt say a collection piece.. at the moment there are just too many of them around..

the 500's he has could well be classed as collection, they are very very nice...

actually looking round it again, i would say it is very clean, as long as the leather is in good nick, some original 15 hole wheels and then it would be a collectors piece..
