I think those Irish plates are really naff.
You may as well have a plate saying "I AM HIDING THE TRUE AGE OF THE CAR"

Bugger! I thought my Irish plate was quite appropriate (ADZ 19, Adz is what I've been called for over 20 years and even my mum and dad call it me now) but it turns out I'm just hiding the age of my 15 year old car....oops I let it slip :p

Cheers,
Adam (or Adz if you prefer :D )

To be honest as I have decided against swapping it over. I will leave it as is. After all could proably do with the money to be put towards petrol. Dont think the mrs will be too impressed either.

Probably a wise choice, petrol is now my second largest expense every month after the mortgage

But its worth it :D

dont want to hijack so sorry Mambo but what do you think of S44B MH on a saab (my initials MH)?
Don't do it.
There's only one thing worse than a naff plate and that's one that's had the spacing changed or uses 4s as As. This has both.
Sorry to give bad news. :o :(

*EDIT* Oh could get my name S11 AUN but again £10995.

Must spend money on the house and not on car!

Shaun
The car looks great with the original plate on so unless you have a particular need to change it don't bother.
Anyway who's going to get close enought to read it???? :D

Disagree here, If your initials are In there and you drive a S44B, good on you. Lucky match!!!

No , No , No.

He drives a Saab not an S 44 B ;) thats a Russian missile code isn't it ?

I admit i did have one on one of my previous cars but when i sold the car i put the plate on retention........ only because it was bought my wife and she wouldnt be happy if i got rid...prob is i am runnin out of excuses as to why i dont put it on my new car !!!! . I think the Irish plates are really naff and cheap lookin... ..and i agree it just looks like you are tryin to hide the age of a car...they are usually seen most commonly on bmw and mercs circa '92 to '98... apologies to all you guys who have them ..no offence just my opinion. I reckon you would be better buyin one from DVLA Web site...you can pick the cheapest up for 250 pounds and that includes vat and transfer. You get some crackin bargains. I bought one for my wife last year for 600 pounds and it spells her name !!!!...Buy wisely and think of it as an investment...

private plates are a bit 1970's really

You made a wise choice staying with the original

now I wonder if anybody ever bought W411 KER

Yes, someone has bought it but it seems to me that everyone shares the use of it though ;) . Present company excepted of course :)
